Chris Moon MBE inspires at Leuchie Leaders Club in Glasgow
23 October 2026
Resilience, mindset and personal responsibility took centre stage at our second Leuchie Leaders Glasgow event.
We welcomed Chris Moon MBE for an evening of insight on resilience, mindset and personal responsibility.
Chris grew up in a farming family and went on to work in landmine clearance. He survived a landmine explosion that cost him his right arm and lower right leg, and has since achieved remarkable feats of endurance. He gave guests a unique perspective on the power of the human mind.
It was the lessons he shared about how we approach life’s challenges that resonated most with the room:
- Act, don’t worry. “Don’t worry about it, do something about it.” Taking action matters more than letting circumstances dictate our response.
- Choose how you think. Our internal dialogue matters, and getting our head in the right place, and keeping it there, can make all the difference.
- Take ownership. “Compel your circumstances, rather than be compelled by your circumstances.” Focus on what we can influence and embrace accountability.
- Never underestimate humour. Laughter brings perspective, builds connections and leaves a lasting impression.
We’re so grateful to Chris for sharing his story, and to Ceannas and Evelyn Partners for their support in making the Glasgow events possible. Thanks to everyone who joined for the evening, which had a fantastic buzz.
