Reimagining Respite

We are the national respite charity giving families a break from the physical and emotional responsibilities of caring for a loved one.

Trust

What we do

We support individuals and families living with neurological conditions such as MS, MND, Parkinson's and stroke through short respite breaks and outreach services.

We're the only charity in the UK to combine specialist nursing, physio and occupational therapy with healthcare technology. We proactively improve health, re-enable independence and reduce the loneliness endured by people with a neurological condition and the loved ones who care for them, while providing families with a respite break.

Accessible self-catering

Leuchie offers two accessible self-catering properties to help meet the needs of disabled people or people with mobility issues for whom ‘wheelchair access’ just isn’t enough.

Leuchie at Home

We're providing respite beyond the walls of Leuchie House with our Leuchie at Home service, giving carers a break for 2hrs per week, in their own homes.

Our Impact Report

We're proud to share our 2024 Impact Report. In the past year alone, we supported over 780 individuals, delivered 1,100 therapies, and saved the NHS £500,000 through early interventions. Read more about our work and how we are reimagining the delivery of respite as a way of meeting wider health and social care outcomes for the families we support.
