Purpose
To clarify expectations on who to contact, when we are open, and over closed weekends. To clarify the responsibility of all managers when away from Leuchie.
Procedure – General
- All managers’ mobile phone numbers will be available to the nurse in charge and to fellow managers
- There is a mobile phone which may also be called for out of hours telephone support
- This mobile phone should be rotated throughout the management team to ensure fairness and that no one person is always called upon for out of hours support
Procedure – Open Hours
- The nurse in charge may call the mobile to talk through issues whilst Leuchie is open. This should be the point of contact when there is not an obvious relevant manager to phone about a particular issue, or a manager is not contactable.
- Advice and support will be provided but the decision on what next steps to be taken remains with the nurse in charge.
Procedure – Closed Weekends
- The message on the answering machine over closed weekends will give the number for the mobile phone to be called if a message must be passed on urgently
- There is no expectation on the member holding the phone to be able to attend Leuchie if contacted or answer the phone immediately. Instead, they must respond to the calls, giving advice and support as is reasonable and practical. It is expected that phone calls will relate to practical matters for guests arriving in the next holiday which would then be passed on as appropriate.
