Nature Walks Return to Leuchie
27 July 2025
We’re delighted to announce that our popular nature walks have resumed at Leuchie, led once again by the wonderful East Lothian Council’s ranger service. These gentle, accessible walks offer guests at Leuchie a perfect opportunity to connect with the natural beauty that surrounds Leuchie’s historic home.
The guided walks take place through our stunning 30-acre grounds, where guests can discover the rich wildlife and flowers that call Leuchie home. From ancient woodlands to peaceful garden paths, each walk is carefully tailored to accommodate all mobility levels, ensuring everyone can participate and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of spending time in nature.
“There’s something truly special about being outdoors in our beautiful grounds,” says Katie, Occupational Therapist at Leuchie. “We see first-hand how much guests benefit from these nature walks – not just physically, but emotionally and mentally too. The combination of gentle exercise, fresh air, and the peaceful surroundings creates such a positive impact on wellbeing.”
The East Lothian Council rangers bring their wealth of knowledge about local wildlife and conservation. They have a clear passion for the natural world, and they adapt each walk to the interests and abilities of the group.
These nature walks provide a wonderful opportunity to experience the tranquil beauty of the East Lothian countryside right on our doorstep. These walks are just one of the many ways we help guests at Leuchie create meaningful memories while supporting their health and wellbeing.
