A view from the Quiet Room – 3

I was eagerly anticipating my holiday after reading the newsletter which dropped into my Inbox. Leuchie announced the appointment of John in the position of Catering Manager and Andy as Chef. They gave guests home baking and desserts worthy of any fine dining establishment. The choices at dinner were excellent. Guests who have booked are in for a treat.

Back in November last year, I did a trawl of the shows that were on when I was next at Leuchie. I found an AmDram performance of We Will Rock You. I’m sure the production would meet the Festival Theatre’s standards, so it was worth a punt. Iain had seen a production of the show in London. He was keen to see it again. Victoria booked two wheelchair spaces, seats for carers and parking for two cars with blue badges. The evening exceeded all expectations. Exhilarating and awesome are two of the words that described the musical. The singing was wonderful and the choreography superb from a cast of over 50. The atmosphere was electric with a capacity audience of 2000 fully engaging with the cast clapping, shouting the responses as demanded and waving their hands in the air. (1)

Iain complained of sore shoulders and difficulty in moving his arms. Louise treated him like a pin cushion but after 30 minutes of acupuncture he came up to the Quiet Room like a new man and demonstrated this by waving his hands in the air. If guests have pains, they should ask Louise for a consultation to see if she can perform magic on them.
