Leuchie responds to Neurological Alliance of Scotland Report

Leuchie, as a vital provider of respite breaks for people with neurological conditions, supports calls today for better investment in services and improved access to care co-ordinators.

These calls come in a new report by the Neurological Alliance of Scotland (NAoS) which shows that people living with neurological conditions and their carers feel unsupported by health systems.

The report shows that two out of three adults with a neurological condition feel that life is hard to cope with, and carers are at breaking point. Here at Leuchie, we recognise that respite breaks are a lifeline for people with long-term conditions and their carers. And we support NAoS’s findings that evidence the acute and growing need for improvements in neurological services.

Leuchie is a member of NAoS and we join our partners in calling for:

✅ Targeted investment to strengthen services.

✅ Access to a named care co-ordinator.

These actions would support faster diagnosis, better and more targeted support for people with neurological conditions and increased support for carers.
